Goar, Allison & Associates, Inc. offers a broad spectrum of process engineering capabilities in sulfur recovery and processing. Areas of specific expertise include:
- Claus sulfur recovery, tail gas clean-up, and abatement of SO2 emissions.
- Ammonia destruction.
- Oxygen enrichment of Claus plants. Our COPE® process technology offers incremental or base SRU capacity at tremendous savings compared to air-based SRUs.
- Sulfur degassing. Our D’GAASS® process technology provides the leading technology worldwide for removing dangerous H2S from liquid sulfur produced in a Claus plant making it safe for processing, storage and transport.
- Refinery and natural gas treating for acid gas removal.

The firm offers basic engineering design, detailed engineering design, process and project feasibility evaluations, project bid package preparation, plant startup and performance testing supervision, plant troubleshooting, and staff training seminars. Goar, Allison & Associates can provide detailed piping design and control system design for either new facilities or existing facility modifications.
Typical projects are comprised of Goar, Allison & Associates providing a Process Design Package followed by oversight and assistance as requested during detailed design, procurement, construction, HAZOPS and start-up. Goar, Allison & Associates has executed projects with most major EPCs and oil and gas companies worldwide and has built a reputation for the quality of our engineering designs and the superior performance of our plants.
