Company Profile

Goar, Allison & Associates offers a broad spectrum of process engineering capabilities to the gas process and oil refining industries.  Areas in which we have specific expertise are: 

Claus Sulfur recovery, tail gas cleanup, and abatement of SO2 Emissions.

COPETM Process, Comprimo NH3 Destruction, Recycle Selectox, and SUPERCLAUS® technologies

Proprietary sulfur degasification technologies.

Refinery and natural gas treating for acid gas removal.

Sour Water stripping for removal of NH3 and H2S.

Natural gas dehydration and liquids recovery.

The firm offers process engineering design, detailed engineering design, feasibility studies, process and project evaluations, project bid package preparation, plant startup and performance testing supervision, plant troubleshooting, and staff training seminars.  Goar, Allison & Associates can provide detailed piping design and control system design for either new facilities or existing facility modifications.  

An associated company, GAA Engineered Systems, Inc., offers licenses for the following  technologies. 

The COPETM Process, offered in conjunction with Air Products and Chemical, Inc., dramatically increases the capacity of Claus sulfur recovery units through the addition of oxygen to the acid gas burner.  The COPE® technology has application both for new plants and for retrofit to existing Claus units. 

The  D'GAASS™ process, developed by GAA, for removal of H2S from liquid sulfur

GAA Engineered Systems, Inc. has a great deal of experience in providing engineering services for the implementation of the following technologies :

LD Duiker burners and combustion chambers for greatly improved combustion performance in Claus Plants.

The SUPERCLAUS® Process  and the Comprimo Ammonia destruction System, both licensed by Jacobs Nederland B.V., may be offered on a case-by-case basis.
