GAA Licensed Technologies, though time tested and
proven to provide reliable operation, remain state of the art advancements
in the Sulfur Recovery Process
COPESM
Claus Oxygen Enrichment Technology
A
process for increasing Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU) capacity through the
use of oxygen for partial or complete replacement of combustion air.
(COPE = Claus Oxygen-based Process Expansion) Developed and patented
jointly by Goar, Allison & Associates, Inc. and Air
Products and Chemicals, Inc.
D'GAASSSM
Liquid Sulfur Degassing Technology
A
process for removing residual H2S
from sulfur product, which typically contains 250-300 ppmw, to 10 ppmw H2S.
Developed and patented by GAA
SUPERCLAUS® Process
GAA
has sub-licensed this process, at several North American
locations, for improving the overall sulfur recovery in a modified
Claus SRU through the use of a selective oxidation catalyst. The
SUPERCLAUS Process is licensed by Jacobs Nederland B.V.
Comprimo
Ammonia Destruction Process
GAA
has sub-licensed this Jacobs Nederland B.V. process in several
U.S. Refineries for the destruction of ammonia contained in sour water
stripper off-gas in an SRU.
Selectox
Processes
GAA
has sub-licensed these UOP processes which are all based on a selective
oxidation catalyst. The Recycle Selectox process is an
all-catalytic (no reaction furnace) process for recovering sulfur
from lean acid gas streams. GAA is not currently offering the Selectox
processes.
